About me

Dasha Mycio is a New York based composer, who creates unique soundscapes with vivid colors and textures.

A peculiar composer, Dasha’s music exists at the cross section of modern concert music, the filmic musical language of the late Soviet Era, and experimental sonic explorations. Born in Israel, raised in Moscow, and now living in NYC, Dasha’s music is just as unique and eclectic as her background.

Dasha has had the opportunity to work on numerous films including “How I Blew It” (Feedback Film Festival best comedy winner 2023), “Chronicles of Green Tree” (Semi-Finalist at the Paris international short film festival), “Beast Wanted”, “Aviation”, and many more. Dasha has also received special recognition from the Russian ministry of culture for her works during her time at Gnesins College of Music. Dasha has also had a chance to contribute music to a catalog of sound, used by major brands, such as Lexus, Hyundai, Zara, Nestle etc.
